The challenge: encourage Naples residents to advocate for the City Planning Advisory Board's support of a new facility for critical heart and stroke care in downtown Naples.
They voted yes.
Medical errors are the third leading cause of death in the United States—but staying on top of them can lessen their impact and prevent future harm. In fact, seemingly unique incidents identified on one floor often indicate systemic (but remediable!) issues affecting multiple floors of a given hospital.
Across all hospitals under Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH), staff are expected to report medical errors and potential medical errors in SEEK (Safety Events Empowering Knowledge), their online event management system. NCH's internal quality team came to us seeking to demonstate to staff why regularly using SEEK was so critical—and combat fear of repercussions for reporting errors.
We rolled out a multi-part, interactive internal campaign: newsletters, posters, rack cards, table tent cards, screensavers, an informational video, and a custom landing page highlighting "great catches" by real NCH staff members and showcasing the positive changes each one had ignited.
NCH's human resources team needed to refresh, reorganize, and add new content (seriously, a lot of new content) to their careers site.
According to them, we did an "outstanding" job elevating their online presence and making it "fabulous." (Their words, not mine.) See it for yourself here.
