How to Undo

12 episodes. 11 days of shooting. 1 amazing team. 1 Bronze Shorty Award, even.

And a whole lot to undo.

The first season of How to Undo was produced long before I arrived at Trade School, but my journey with the series began when I was brought on to assist with post-production for four "At Home Edition" episodes in 2021. Here's one of them, and the rest are here, here, and here).

After that, my team was tasked with bringing not one, but two brand-new seasons of the show to fruition. We were asked to deliver longer episodes at a higher production value that would tackle more complex problems, both indoors and outdoors, that new young homeowners/DIYers face.

The team (including fellow creatives Jennifer Barclay & Nathan Burns) collaborated with beloved influencer talent Mike Montgomery (@modernbuilds) to put together 12 informative and engaging episodes dealing with everything from filling cracks in cement on your own to tearing down old wallpaper.

This project was a massive undertaking on a tight schedule; despite beginning every day up to our gills in annotated shooting scripts, we found ourselves juggling countless last-minute solves and pivots while on set. However: our clients were supportive, understanding, and amazing partners throughout the entire process; our crew and talent were top-notch; and personally speaking, I had a lot of fun wearing several different hats and getting hands-on with the material at every turn. And now I know way too much about patching carpet and putting up wallpaper around windows!
